Thankyou so much eekt. It is gouache - you must know your paints !!! A blob here, a bit of detail there - I like that's it's such a versatile paint. Watercolour and acrylic combined.
Yeah......When I painted this I had the aforementioned goat living across the road from me. He was owned by a wonderfully crazy old Greek guy. Pop up sheep sounds like great fun !
( I grew up on a sheep farm ) So I have a soft spot for the woolies.
Its Gouache. Graphic Designers used to use it ( back in the olden days ) for polished illustrations. Its also great for blobbing and swirling in more free and abstract ways like watercolour. Its great to play with.
This goat that this was based on was a wooly who lived in the hills outside of Melbourne -( Aust ) were......( how do I put this ) mind altering substances was occasionaly favoured way too much. Not that I knew anything about it. I must have subconsciously picked up on it. 😁
My neighbours considered me a bit too ' strait ' so I was snuck up on and initiated one very colorful evening. 😁 Alas I've moved away. 😖 Good neighbours are hard to come by.
