I haven't posted in a while, it's been a crazy rollercoaster ride with lupus symptoms. I've been out of work so often that I have gone into negative sick leave, and now have to go into unpaid leave.
Since Tuesday I have been in severe pain with tummy cramps, nausea, diarrhea, fever and body aches. I got some meds from the pharmacy to help with the diarrhea and tummy spasms, but this does not seem to help. I'm unable to sleep as I have to continuously run to the loo. Even drinking water causes tummy pain. I feel so weak and have a pounding headache.
I am uncertain if this is a some type of virus of tummy flu or a lupus flare. Anyone else ever experience this? Is it worthwhile going to the hospital?
Love and Blessings to All.

Hi thereI really don’t know the answer but just wanted to say that I am so sorry that you feel so awful and hope that you get some relief soon. Big Cwtches xx
Hi Blessings! I hope things have settled down over the last day. I am so sorry you are feeling so unwell. I have had moments like this and told my GI doc right away. He made me get an abdominal U/S to rule out both gallbladder and kidney stones. He also checked pancreas function. Other than a high white blood cell count, nothing impressive turned up so we attributed to lupus. I think with a fever, I’d be more concerned.
Is there any way to contact your GP and get testing ordered? If not, I agree with KayHimm, see a doc ASAP if you can. It’s no way to live and you need water and nutrients.
Hello, I had a very serious bout with the same symptoms many years ago (1989). I ended up in the hospital on IV for hydration, pain control, and testing. After 8 days of testing, they finally found an elevated eosinophil count. Diagnosis was Eosiniphillic Gastroenteritis which at the time was VERY rare. Not so much anymore--not sure why. They put me on massive steroids for a couple of months. This disease has never returned as such, but I have several autoimmune disorders.
If you stop drinking water because it hurts, you must get fluids! Go to Doctor!!!
I wish that on NO ONE. I am sorry you are suffering. Get well soon.
