Dear All not posted anything lately as not much to say, but keeping an eye to see everyone else is ok👍🏼

Have just been soldiering on with life, changing meds twice and getting up to the usual levels of frustration, but on a good day I made these fellas for the team at work who do look after me well on the not so good days❤️

Turned out better than expected although some look a bit drunk 🥴 thought they looked festive and a good chance to post to say Happy Christmas one and all, hope you all manage to enjoy the festive season without too lupus type trouble

Helen, they do look yummy and fun. I hope they are gluten free? How did you make these? Is the base a cupcake, chocolate icing, chocolate covered pretzel antlers, and then the face, eyes and nose are made out of???

Brooksidecourt yes chocolate cup cakes and chocolate buttercream icing, chocolate covered pretzels for antlers (good spot 😉) face is a giant chocolate button, a smartie stuck on with some buttercream and the tubs of writing icing to make the eyes.

Cake recipe is dr oetker Guinness chocolate cake which I make regularly as cupcakes (makes 24) or half of recipe as a loaf cake never bothered to make the icing on the recipe which you can download online

Got the idea off Pinterest or craft porn as my husband calls it 😂

They really do look good. Unsure what a chocolate pretzel would taste like but it adds the finishing touch.

My daughter and I made reindeer cupcakes last weekend that were similar but we used cut up Curly Wurly for the antlers. I wish I had taken a photo now!!!
