Although I was diagnosed in 2015, I've not really had a flare up since then. But then yesterday I felt really poorly and then today I woke up with a stiff neck and a numb right arm and my right hand was purple. I have seen my gp today who has prescribed naproxin.
My worry is that I started a new job just 4 weeks ago and have had to take today off sick. I'm worried as to what is going to happen as I'm still on probation, so worried they'll get rid of me.
Any advice, thanks

Be clear that you have Lupus, which is medically managed but has had a flare. There are clear work guidelines. I had a new member of staff that had a day off week 1 so hey you made 4 weeks. Everyone gets ill, my new boss had a week off during his first month with us. It’s life. Don’t add to your flare by stressing out.
Good luck with the job, be kind to yourself, add extra rest during these first few months and SHINE!
