I think it’s important to remember our other bodily parts that may not be causing us problems and can easily be forgotten what with all the other stuff causing us a nightmare.

RIP Jade Goody. X

Re: Smear Test ~ So true Lisalou19. A few minutes of feeling uncomfortable is nothing to losing one's life!

Please arrange your appointment, come on ladies 😄

Definitely. Good to remind everyone. Those taking immune suppressant meds have a slightly higher chance of getting some cancers I believe as well. So even more reason to get your smear done on time. x

Completely agree. Doesn't just uncover cancers but other health issues as well.

Went for mine in February and they spotted inflammation. This led to a gyno who suspected Behçet's. From there referred to rheumologist and in last few weeks been diagnosed with generalized artiritis, raynalds and uctd. Seeing a Behçet's specialist in November and waiting for a gastro specialist as ibd is also suspected. All from a routine smear test!

I had mine done for the first time at 25, and they found abnormal cells . Luckily the colposcopy didn’t show another abnormal.

I think it’s really important we check, as we are more likely to get some cancers, cervical being one of them.
