Ana: Ana - LUPUS UK
Ana
ANA is nonspecific. Can be any number of things. Pattern (speckled) seems consistent with a connective tissue disease. The titer is positive but low so whatever is going on is just the beginning. If you feel well then I’d go about my daily life. If you haven’t been feeling well lately, I’d ask your docs to dig deeper. I can see you are a black female so lupus would be at the top of my list. I also deduce that Hoffman is Ob/Gyn in Texas. He will definitely need to work that up. Anyone in your family have lupus?
Physician here. Sorry to be nosey but I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a rheumatologist and/or hematologist in the near future. Please let me know if you have any questions.
No only Gray's disease and i use to have cancer been in remission for 4 years
Welcome! You’re certainly in the right place. You’ve been through enough already. And you’re among friends even with prior obstacles. I am so so happy to hear that you achieved remission. Grays = Graves disease which is a thyroid problem associated with many autoimmune disorders. We are also more prone to cancer. Some more than others and moreso breast/ovarian/some gut. I think you’re about to get some answers soon as to why your road has always been a bit tougher when compared to others.
Keep us up to date! I hope everything turns out negative and it was a false alarm. That’d be the best case scenario.
