Haven’t posted for a while as I’ve basically just been getting on dealing with the new me.
I’ve readjusted, stopped looking for diagnosis, given up on the medical profession apart from my fab GP practice.
I have an almost stress free life now, one that I enjoy much more than at any other time. Acceptance of my condition(s) and lifestyle adaptation has been key. Gluten free, low processed carbohydrate, low lactose (no way can I give up cheese) and wearing fab clothes with a bit of flair have helped too. I could have let my condition let me disappear...
Now I’m the woman wearing a sequin full length coat in the rain.
Try it!

I’ve been advised to go dairy free for a month and I was struggling, I just discovered Asda sell Cathedral cheese lacto free and it’s actually very nice. I’m only on day 5 but I have to do it because I trust the new gastro doc I have and really hoping for a diagnosis this time.
I just told my rheumatologist that I think my strokes last year have actually improved my life. I eat better, sleep better, move more and am focusing on mental health and joy more. I lost weight, smile more, lowered my ESR, CRP and tons of antibodies and started a new job I love in the 8 months since I had my first stroke. I not only relearned how to write, talk and walk I learned how to really live. Going from not being able to remember my name, how to talk or walk to today makes me relalize that every day no mater how tough is truly a gift! Grab it!
