Wondered if anyone else with lupus experiences pain in left hand side of chest/armpit area. Rheumatologist sent me for Echo and heart etc looks ok but it’s a constant throbbing pain that I just have to keep rubbing and taking painkillers for. Is this just a lupus thing that I should try and ignore or should I go to GP? Thanks xxx

Armpit/chest pain
About three years ago I was diagnosed with costochondritis. Mine was from lifting a big baby and a toddler and my underwire bra. The pain in my case radiated from my sternum to under my right am, not really arm pit but the under arm area. It is a common thing in connective tissue disease but my GP ran a mammogram to rule out breast cancer before diagnosing costochondritis. I have given up under wires and the kids are all walking and it has not since flared ;).
I also suffer from a pain a bit like this,it’s in my chest and also goes into my back. Have had it for years, nobody has ever bothered with it all until now.
I’ve had 2 echocardiograms,having a nuclear scan next week.
Am expecting it to be lupus related.
Have bought looser non wired bras.sometimes it hurt with them, sometimes it doesn’t?
I have pain in left arm pit chest when the lymph nodes swell. Very painful and can limit movement.
I get pain in the rib area under my arms, both sides. I think mine is akin to the joint pain I get, really achey feeling. It usually goes away over time.
