Another enigma

Need a little help deciding who to press on this blood work, Hematologist says labs are good. Not sure this looks good to me. I think she was just looking to see if I needed another iron infusion and ignored the rest. What do you think?

If your iron was okay your transferrin can be low. Are you female? It’s not dangerously low and not a problem at all as long as your iron was normal.

Iron is low normal at 43, ferritin is 127, TbIC is low and iron saturation is 18%

My other question is what’s up with the elevated white blood cell count? I have no active infection and the doc didn’t even mention it. I looked at my results after our phone conversation and was a little surprised

What meds are you on? That’s not unusually high for us. Meds are the main cause for slightly elevated or even high wbc lab in our case.

Just plaquinel for the autoimmune crap, synthroid verapamil, trazadone, lexapro And Wellbutrin

Hmmmm. No steroids lately? As a RN myself I’d call and ask just to double check. You obviously know you don’t always run high. Just my thoughts.
