Hello everyone it’s been awhile since my last post. Hope all is well. Question has anyone experienced shoulder pain out of nowhere. I woke up one morning and couldn’t raise my right arm had blood work done all negative. Was given steroid pack and pain . Meds but had to discontinue steroids due to allergic reaction. Waiting on results from X-rays of neck and shoulder currently taking Tylenol 3 for pain

Shoulder pain
Hi faithnhm333 Yes I have neck and shoulder pain. MRI scan in 2015 showed 'Tendinopathy in the distal intraspinatus as it curves over the posterior and superior aspects of the humeraal head towards its insertion. Also, moderate arthropathy of the acromiclavicular joint.' I have had nerve block and depot steroid injections in the right shoulder in 2015 and 2016. The pain is on and off in the right shoulder and I try to be very careful when exercising and doing housework. This has meant using the left side more that I would normally and I think I have created problems in the left shoulder. It is at it's worse when I go to bed, it is hard to find a position I can settle in and it's very painful in shoulders and neck when I turn during the night. I am reluctant to have more steroid injections that only take the edge off for a few months. Strong painkillers cause nausea and vomiting but when you have to be rushed into hospital due to the level of pain sometimes nausea and vomiting are endured. Wish I could be more positive but good luck with your x-rays and diagnosis
I had something similar but it went down my arm in to my hand. After tests it was confirmed to be amyotrophic brachial neuritis
I had shoulder pain in both shoulders - very severe. Polymyalgia rheumatica was diagnosed and I was put on steroids.
Yes this happened to me a few years ago, horrendous pain in left shoulder came from nowhere, no meds helped at the time, had an MRI nothing showed up on the left shoulder but the right shoulder had signs of arthritis.
Would not like to go through this again.
Hope you feel better soon.
I have shoulder pain for 3 months now there told it had due with the Mix connected tissue disease but I have to go get a MRI done and see other doctor plus do PT eual
