Temperature

In the last few days I had a cold with runny nose. Tonight I actually feel worse. I have 37.5 temperature even though I took paracetamol 1 hr ago I am shivering and ache all over. I am wondering if I can wait until tomorrow morning to see the gp or I should call 111.

Thank you

For most people your temperature appears in good shape. But this depends if you normally track your temperature and it’s usually lower than 37.5

I often find you can feel quite fluey like but wake in the morning feeling better. In the evenings your body temperature usually rises so this can make you feel worse.

I guess it depends on what other symptoms you are experiencing whether to call 911 or wait til the morning xx

How are you now, Tulipano? That really sounds like the start of a flu. 37.5 is a low fever. Anything from 37.3 is considered so according to hospital staff here. Though people are different and some run higher temperatures as normal. However to have the shivering and aching sounds flu-ish or the start of an infection. Are you on immunosuppressants and do you know if your white blood cells are affected and are low? Let us know how you are now.

My temperature went up to 39.5. Called 111 and they sent an ambulance. My crp level is very high. Got admitted to hospital x

It might be a flare ups. Whenever I get flare ups, my temperature goes up to 39, rashes all over body, muscles and joints pain. Get well soon.xxx

Thank goodness you called 111! Thanks for letting us know. And I really, really hope you're finding your way back to better health. And that they can find the source of the high CRP -- flare or infection? At the very least have you on antibiotics to get things under control. Good spotting, Tulipano. Take good care. Panda x
