I have no idea, apart from saying it looks wrong to me, too. I suggest another visit to the doctor.

Keep going back to Dr - you are entitled to a second (and3rd) opinion ! I’m Afraid we have to fight to get taken seriously.

Hello

I have had rheumatoid nodules on my knuckles & elbows which disappeared after a few years. My mum had a bad one on her wrist that was surgically removed & grew back in exactly the same place. Mine weren’t initially visible on an xray but after about a year they were.

I just checked that you could have a nodule on your shoulder but I would check with your rheumatologist. An ultrasound (I am told) is the best way they can be viewed early on. Good luck.

Don’t be put off or put down. Be the squeaky wheel and ask for second and third opinions. You know your body best.

Thank you all for ur reply it's been hurting me and waking me up at night I didn't fall or injured it it just came on by its self my Dr just says there's nothing that can be done know there's something wrong and ain't right but the thing is I don't see London hospital till August so don't see any one till then just feel like its not one thing it's another 😳

Yup they appear all on their own. No trauma required. My mum’s ached something awful - have you tried Movelat Gel? I get it on prescription. Alternatively position wise you could sleep sidelying on opposite side with the affected arm resting on a pillow so the elbow to wrist are parallel to the bed. Know heat / cold didn’t help my mum, so have no other suggestions. Would GP do an ultrasound?

Yeah the thing is I fall asleep on the other non effected side but wake up in pain on that side so I must roll over when I sleep yeah I tried cooling gel that didn't work and no my gp won't I did ask him is there something that can be done he said nope nothing. Also he never once had a look at the lump even though I tried to show him but he just Kepted squeezeing my shoulder blade which gave me a really bad dead arm and pins and needles 😞

Can you see another GP? Call rheum secretary/nurse? Pins & needles often caused secondary to nodules pressing on them as major nerves tend to run close to bone; but if the area goes numb & stays numb there could be a degree of nerve impingement - it would explain the severe pain. Do you get loss of feeling down ur arm and which fingers does it affect if so?

Yes I get numbness in my arm not sure what finger though it's normally middle finger and the one next to the little finger but when I use that arm it goes dead I have to put things down cause it's like a dull ache but yes I will have to ring up the hospital to see if they can push an appointment through early for me
