Can anyone relate or give advice? Back probley a year ago I started to wake up in the night with pain in right side of belly which is the side I sleep on most.The only way to describe the pain is muscle like pain,hurting so bad with anyway movement or trying to roll over,it would come and go so I just delt with it but it's gotten worse lately,the pain under right rib,sometimes into back.If the house was ever on fire I don't think I could get up fast enough,that is the pain I have,still feeling like a muscle pain,slowly able to change my sleeping position.This only comes during the night but I have also felt it in the middle right side above belly button,stops u in your tracks.I also am now waking up in the mornings sick to my stomach.I am 43 yr.old female.I did go to the ER not long ago and the only thing they said was they found a spot on my pancreas and I have along wait to a specialist.I have read that pancreas pain usually feels better when laying on your side so if anyone may have any thoughts or experience like this,please comment.thank u and god bless.

Pain under right rib and stomach only during the night.
Just a thought 4bre right side pain can be related to gall stones /pain.
I had ultrasound scan which confirmed mine .
Ask your GP to refer u for one .
Best of luck. In the meantime u could cut out fatty food see if that helps but get it checked

I am not medically trained, therefore, I cannot comment on what the cause of your symptoms may be. However, you may find the following information The Lupus Encyclopedia helpful;
Inflammation of the pancreas is called pancreatitis and occurs in 2% to 7% of people who have SLE. This can cause severe abdominal pain (which usually spreads to the back), nausea and vomiting.
Inflammation of the pancreas can be caused by a number of different factors including having secondary Sjogren's syndrome, psychosis, pleurisy or elevated triglyceride levels. Gall bladder stones, high calcium levels, trauma, alcohol and some congenital disorders can also cause pancreatitis. Medications to treat lupus i.e. NSAIDs and steroids can contribute to pancreatitis too.
Please let us know how you get on, wishing you all the best.
