Does anyone else develop skin rash and get sick after exposing to the sun a little time. I don't know why I often get sick after sun exposure. This also triggers joint pain later.

I am so sun sensitive that I can't be out in it for a minute. I get nausea, migraine, joint pain, pericarditis and collapse. Same with fluorescent lighting.
UV light of certain wavelengths is a common trigger for lupus flares. In fact - this article

I'm very sensitive to sunlight n flourescent light..I have cutaneous lupus so my symptoms r mainly skin rashes..nausea..fatigue..joint pain
Lupus UK have great info on sun sensitivity and eclipse has great tips on coping with this issue.
Factor 50+ suncream..hats..sunglasses..keeping covered r all tips to prevent sun sensitive types from suffering but I have found that I have to stay out of the sun as much as possible..I use UV protective film on south facing windows for protection indoors n I keep curtains partially closed over that.
I take vitamin d and calcium which is prescribed now but before that I took vitamin d supplements bought from Holland n Barret..we get our vitamin d from sunlight.xx

Developing skin rashes, experiencing joint pain and feeling sick are all symptoms that can occur after going out in the sun. Symptoms can be triggered just minutes after being in the sun. UV rays in the sun can easily trigger your lupus flare-up. If you identified your lupus triggers, it's great to find out the ways to get rid of it.
- always apply suncreen, even you only stay at home
- avoid going out from 11 a.m to 3 p.m
- if you must go out, remember to apply sunscreen rated high SPF and wear wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and long sleeve clothes.
- take extra vitamin or lupus supplements, such as Lupufree, vitamin D3, or vitamin B12 to boost your health and reduce inflammation from joint pain.
Most people with lupus avoid sunlight that leads to lack of vitamin D, so you should try to get vitamin D from foods or take vitamin D supplement
