I'm sure I have seen posts on here before about intense itchy rashes on outside of the elbow. mine has just started again as it usually does in winter months, I can't find the posts I saw before but i'm sure it was lupus related. grateful for any help in figuring it out. definitely not eczema
elbow rash: I'm sure I have seen posts on here... - LUPUS UK
elbow rash
I always get psoriasis in the winter .sunlight is known to clear it.lupus is involved.try to cut out inflammatory foods.helps me x
I was going to just suggest Psoriasis too as, unlike eczema, it usually sits on outer joints rather than inside creases and is autoimmune. X
Hi Suzannah16,
We published a blog article on 'coping with itchy rashes' which you may find helpful: lupusuk.org.uk/coping-with-...
Hi Suzannah16
I had a rash circle around my elbow for months, I read online somewhere to try using coconut oil on it and personally it really helped mine and cleared in up.
Never worked out exactly what it was but it pretty much disappeared with regular application of coconut oil.
Good luck with yours.
My version of this flares mainly in winter. It’s HORRID! My medics said it’s due to AID-related anhidrotic skin..the sjogrens is especially implicated:

They gave me Flexitol moisturiser with 10% urea...which REALLY helps...now i use Flexitol 10% urea all year round daily on all my worst dry skin areas (especially feet, hands, elbows, ankles) it’s BRILLIANT...i get it on prescription, but it’s OTC too, eg from Amazin, Boots etc...might be worth trying:
