New Appointment with some more Comprehensive Blood Tests

Finally getting some more comprehensive blood tests done. It sort of makes me feel a bit better it's finally happening. Oddly the doctor I saw suspects I may have a thyroid problem too, despite my TSH being normal. I can see from the lab list he wants to check more levels there. Let's hope this series of tests will tell me something. They took 8 vials! Felt like I was going to pass out or throw up after I had to do all that fasting.

Hi there! So glad you are getting all of these tests done. I hope you get the answers you are looking for and some relief soon! I went to the doctor for another opinion yesterday and only had 7 vials taken - you're a trooper! Do you know when your results will come in? I have to wait 3 weeks, which is torture! Best wishes!

Well I think it was a similar time frame. I will find out the results at the next appointment which would be in 2 1/2 weeks I think. 7 vials is still quite a lot. I remember how difficult it was for me, must have been rough. She even had to switch arms. I had too much bruising from my previous IVs. But I've been managing so far. I'm about to be done with this round of steroid though so I'm not sure how I am going to be feeling after tomorrow. If I start getting worse, I might be able to get the doctor to get me another prescription until I see him next time. I hope I can if needed. It has helped me so far.

I don't know what the results of this are going to tell me, so I'm a bit nervous about it, but if it leads to me getting better it's worth it. I hope it turns out the same for you.

I had to get both arms poked, but only because my veins are stubborn. I tend to bruise, too - but not this time so I got lucky. I am glad the steroid is helping and I am sure if it needs to be extended, that shouldn't be a problem.

The waiting is the worst part. I hope it goes quickly and we are both on our way to getting better!
