I was diagnosed with sle about 5 years ago, I am currently taking methotrexate with folic acid but last week, due to a dodgy eye, was prescribed prednisolone.
I am really struggling with my moods, I feel so angry all the time. I have only been on it for 6 days and have to wait another 3 weeks to go back and see the consultant.🙄
Has anyone else felt like this?
I feel at my wits end 😔

It is a common response to pred - and one that does improve as your body gets used to the pred. What dose are you on and do you stay at that dose until you are seen again?
I took prednisolone for 3 weeks and had to come off it due to my mood swing's. I'm not usually an angry person and avoid confrontation as much as possible. Whilst I was taking that I argued with everyone and even got out of my car to scream at someone in an outburst of road rage. My doctor took me off it after my mum came to my appointment with me to let her know exactly how bad I'd been. Some people get better once they've taken it for a few weeks, but I didn't.
