Hi

I have continuous wear contact lenses. I wear them basically all the time, fresh pair at the start of each month. I have a 1 night break in the middle of the month, and a 1 night break at the end of the month.

I find them really comfortable. I think maybe because they have a very high water content and help keep the eye lubricated.

I have 6 month check ups at the optician, and it was the optician who noticed I had dry eyes at my last check up.

It's worth a conversation with the contact lens specialist at the optician.

Hi - I have Sjogrens and wear contacts. Talk to your opticians but I was lucky enough that my optometrist has Lupus and Sjogren herself so told me to get the Hycosan drops for when my eyes feel dry and tired. Xx

Yes wear gas permeable contact ( not very popular here but more affordable,) been wearing them most of my life, all day, take out at night. I do have to watch dryness with them but can add fluids if needed. Contacts improved my vision & i think help protect my eyes... 😎 ML

I wore them for years.....daily ones...no need to buy cleaning fluids etc.

I only gave up as I dropped more than I got in my eyes when my hands were bad...thinking of going back to them now as my hands are behaving themselves.

They are so much more convenient than glasses....& you can buy

fashionable sunglasses that don't cost a fortune like prescription glasses do.

Go for it....opticians will give you about a weeks supply free to try them out. Don't forget to get them to show you how to take them out! You just pinch them off....no one told me & I was trying to get my nail under them to flip them off!

Unless you want to...don't sign up for one of their "Packages". I used to buy 3 months supply at a time & they often lasted much longer as I didn't bother wearing them all the time indoors.

Good Luck!

You should try the ones my niece uses. She went to a specialist optician and she has lenses which she wears while asleep. She takes them out in the morning and can see all day without them. Sounds strange but it true
