Hi
I am diagnosed with RA and now there is talk of me having SLE. I get a red burning rash right across my face, under my eyes and over my nose overnight. It looks like sunburn but isn't.
Does anyone else only get it at night?
Thanks
Heather

I have the opposite issue, mine likes to appear in the morning and chills out during the day. I’ve always wondered if time of day influenced it.
Any chance you’re getting a lot of UV/heat exposure during the day? That might cause it to flare at night. Just a thought.
Oh, definitely. Stress, fatigue ... you name it. All of those can bring on a rash. UV just happens to be common. Personally, stress is the one for me that makes it appear the fastest and last the longest.
Your rash sounds very similar to mine. I feel like I’m going to combust and it gets worse in the evening. It gets noticeably worse if my hormones are spiking!
Recently I’ve started getting the rash on my hands, legs and feet. I kind of feel like the longer this is going on the symptoms are getting worse.
Mine shows when I'm super stressed or when I get in the sun to much. Mine also goes around my mouth and chin sometimes and my chest and arms occasionally.
I only notice my rash on my face during the morning, unless I have been out in the sun and then I have it all the time.
often for me it is evenings, or going to bed, perhaps a build up of the day. For the first year or so it was whenever... ut settled down now.
It does not take lot for my face to flare up on my chin, checks and nose , to much wind , to much cold , to much sun any think can set it off bushing the cat past my check and also sunblock cream . The burning pain can be mind to serve pain like bad sunburn have learned to be very careful you have to look out for your triggers you could be overheating in bed under covers. wish you good days
