Went to St Thomas’s Hospital yesterday for the dreaded bronchoscopy. All the staff were amazing!!! So kind and understanding. The procedure was .. let’s say unpleasant. I was sedated- but still can remember it. Unfortunately they could only get as far as trachea 😢. My oxygen levels were dropping and they just couldn’t get past trachea to lungs. Got very sore throat and husky voice this morning and still sleepy. But ok. Just disappointed they couldn’t do whole procedure. Seeing Prof Cruz in July xxx

You poor thing...I’m so sorry 😐 that you didn’t get your whole procedure done. The staff did the right thing to call it off once your vitals we’re unstable.
The sore throat and husky voice will resolve with time. You can gargle with warm salt water...it may help heal the tissues faster.
I hope you recover quickly and can do the whole procedure next time with a proper diagnosis.
Thanks honeybug. They probably won’t do another. They know I’ve got shrinking lung disease and hemi diaphragm ( good old lupus!!😟) they were looking to find a bleeding point. Xxx
Well done Wolf1! You faced up to your fear and did it! I hope you are suitably proud of yourself. Maybe you need a new user name like WarriorWolfFirstClass. It's understandable to be disappointed that they couldn't get the full view but there you go - it would have been still worse if you hadn't even tried. Your new voice may be handy when howling for the pack? Lots of admiration and gentle hugs x
