Hi my name is Amanda im 44 but inside I am 94 it seems I am getting all the ails of an elderly person on top of which I mostly feel like an old lady too(no offence meant). That said I have been in remission since Xmas2017 but now it seems ulcers are rearing their ugly head which usually means the rest of me follows suit as in lots of pain fatigue barely able to walk and everything else that comes with . I am recently diagnosed and in fact only started the medicine today , yay for me 4 yrs after chasing Drs and endless useless appointments that made me feel like I was going crazy .I am sure you all know what its like , On top of which one of my children has special need s too , life can be funny like that , stress will make things worse I am told well in that case I aint lasting that long lol but I suppose I still have my sense of humour which sees me through many a bad day .So anyways thats ME just wanted to say hi and introduce myself xx

Hello Amanda,

Your feelings sound very familiar. Today I am supposed to be 58, but feel 103. That's an extra 45 years compared to your 50, so you win. But tomorrow, I could be 129....anyway, it's good to meet you. I hope you find this a helpful and supportive place x

Hi Amanda, I am just starting my journey or diagnosis however my mum, cousin and aunt have lupus so am fairly aware of symptoms. You do feel like you are going insane, you feel very isolated and alone with it all and like your ageing at a rate of knots. I’m only 34 but feel about 104 however these forums make you realise you are not alone and the symptoms are normal in your circle. Than god for each other to get you back in the real world again!
