Does anyone else feel like they are on fire when they are flaring? My face and neck feel and look like I’m on fire.

I wish I knew how to post a photo on the reply. I feel exactly the same, extreme burning. It used to just affect my face but it has spreed now to my legs , hands and feet.

I’m still waiting for a diagnosis :-(

I feel the same and have for quite some time. It has become very bad on my lower legs, shins, and feet. I feel as though I have been exposed to an oil or gas fire and my skin should begin to simply shred away. It is very painful and I usually have to take one of my more potent pain relievers to get things under control as quickly as I can. I was hoping this would fade away some over time, but in 6 or 7 years no such luck. Sorry you must endure this as well. Both of you. Perhaps some day there will be an answer for us all.

Oh wow! YES!!! This just started about 2 months ago?? To the point where ppl are acting shocked if they see me, strangers. Doctor's, neighbors, its been insane!

My face is so unbelievably Red,burning but I am profusely and I mean profusely sweating from head to toe!! Like I just took shower?? But its not just my face its in a lot of area's, red just face but burning hot no red in areas?? Like over my bladder area, thighs, stomach, neck just very odd?

No one can seem to tell me why?

However, while like this at Dr, my toes feet have been nonstop purple, red,white..even in warm weather, I was sent immediately to Heart&Vascular specialist that minute, and was also Dxd with Servere Vasculitis and CVI???

This is getting extremely overwhelming. I can't believe I just saw your post.

So far for me it’s just head face and neck for me, but I too sweet like I’m burning up. Everyone I work with thought I’d gotten sun burned. I don’t dare go in the sun!!!! Mine only seems to be when I’m in s flare.

Yes, my husband teases me, and says I could guide aircraft in to our nearby airport.

Omg, if you can believe it loopy, you may have to consider yourself lucky since your symptoms are still only around your head, face and neck. I hope that it stays that way, and eventually just goes away completely. LONELYONE, you have found a partner in misery... me ! My sweating has been so bad over the past several years that my life was being dramatically impacted. Many times when I was even able to drag myself to a grocery store to enjoy some shopping, I would be forced to abandon my practically filled basket and leave the store empty handed because I would be literally soaking wet from the top of my head to my toes. The perspiration would be just dripping off me. This is just one of many examples I can give you unfortunately, that have really affected my life. I do have Hashimoto’s Disease and a few other autoimmune diseases however, none of my doctors have been able to offer me any relief in spite of all sorts of tests. Basically, everyone, myself included, has given up on fixing this ‘issue’. I am in my 70’s now and have faced so many strange and difficult health struggles that giving up is getting much easier to do these days.

I am truly sorry because I do not mean to depress you or offend you because of my situation. Yours may, and probably will, end up being much different than mine. Also, things in medicine change so quickly these days that this may be a total non-issue within a couple of years, or may have even been figured out already.. whatever it is or whatever happens, I just want you to know that you are not alone and that there are folks like me out here who care about what you are enduring and wishing that you get the support and love that you deserve.

Yes, my face burns when I'm with people and talking more than usual. I think with me its stress that brings it on. My face flared up at the dental hospital yesterday from stress. Sometimes my legs have woken me up burning in the night, I believe thats to do with nerve damage and if the weathers warm then I wake sweating and burning up. I have a floor standing fan in my bedroom for when its too warm in the night, thats helps more than anything else

Maybe a small hand held fan would help you x
