The ninja warrior is about to come out because I just had someone ask me if I was in a fight because my face is so red. Throat chop is what I have in mind!! This DOESN’T wipe off...and it is not too much blush...grrrr. Anyone have recommendations as to what I can use on my face?

Cover FX is great as they do a range of correctors for different skin problems. Really good coverage and kind to the skin too.
Not cheap but worth it.
Or Tarte cosmetics tape concealer.

Have you tried using green-tinted makeup? It masks redness.
But I'd also be more selective about my companions - THAT was downright RUDE. And I would probably have asked if she practised being obnoxious or was it natural!
I have tried the green tint to mask the redness. My face is just awfully dry when I get a flare like this.
I really wanted to say something to this person but I bit my tongue as it happened at work.
Hi Macsimum_de ,
We did a blog article about skin camouflage a while back which includes lots of tips and recommendations for covering lupus rashes. You can take a look at lupusuk.org.uk/skin-camoufl...
Hi like you i get the rash. And i use avon cream for extre dry face cream. And it help's me. And after i use avon bb cream which bring's down the red. And you have to watch for the sun. That will all so be out the rush. So i use sun factor 50 for the face. And that really help's. I all so get that from avon. I use all avon .make up shower gel bubble bath shampoo. Since ive been using avon it's really helped me. I hope this will help you.
Worth also trying Aveeno skin relief. I use it all the time to treat the dry areas of my face. It works for me and I also use it on my hands which helps reducing the frequency of the medicated with steroids alternative. At the same time I use suncream even in the winter when I go out. Hope you find what suits you get much better very soon.
I always carry lupus UK literature with me explaining what lupus is and hand it to someone when they comment or even just look at me funny, it's all about spreading awareness.
I really cannot understand how people can make such comments!! You just wouldn’t dare say anything would u!!
I would have just calmly said ‘no it’s part of a very painful serious illness I have’ and just see what their response was to that?!
I also am blessed NOT, with dark circles around my eyes as well as the redness so look pretty shocking and tired most of the time! People always say oh u look tired (with the dark circles) even when on a very odd ocassion I might not be tired.
I started using that ‘mineral magic’ face powder over the top of foundation which I found made a difference. It’s about £10 and it’s got the different colours in for different blemishes. But like u say when it’s sore u don’t really want to be putting anything on it like that. I’d just try something very basic and plain moisturiser if anything, if it’s dry u just want to get a bit of moisture back into it and leave it really. But maybe a bit of magic mineral powder lightly would be enough to cover redness.
My face gets worse when I get warm which is most of the time, as I think the morphine makes my head sweat then I look really bad!
