Hi everybody!
I am a 27 year old girl from Pakistan. Like many of us here, i was diagnosed at the tender age of 16. I have had my ups and downs with the disease and i would like to help everyone who is going through it. Lets discuss!
Welcome, iffa28,
I'm sure you will be able to help lots of people here - it's quite busy! x
Welcome, it’s good on this site as everyone shares and helps each other, for encouragement or advice.
What’s your symptoms and how do you deal with them.
I was diagnosed at a very early stage the to which the journey hasn't been so difficult. It affected my joints and knees. However like with everybodyelse it goes and comes back. I studied in London for three years. They were probably the best times with respect to my health. Nowadays due to my negligence, lupus has affected my lungs. I mean i got lazy. Tests weren't done timely. So I'm on a high doze of stteroids right now to fully recover. But its okay ill say! At the end of the day we need to keep out spirits high! That's the part of being in this disease.
Hopefully you feel better soon, it’s important you look after yourself and listen to your body.
Hi iffa. My real name is rifat. I'm 50. Born and brought up in uk but am of Pakistani heritage. Now I know that illnesses don't care about race ect but I don't know any other Pakistani male or female with this condition. So nice to meet you. Looking forward to reading more of your posts in the future
Hi riffat. Its sad that i dont either know many Pakistani with the condition. I wanted to build a platform where I can contribute by personally interacting with people with the same condition. But so nice to hear from you. I hope you are doing great!
