North Wales Lupus Information Day - 12th May 2018

The North Wales Lupus Information Day will take place on Saturday 12th May 2018 at The Imperial Hotel Conference Centre, The Promenade, Vaughan St, Llandudno LL30 1AP.

Registration for the information day starts from 1pm, with the event itself starting at 1.30pm. We will have a number of expert medical speakers including;

Dr Eve Smith & Professor Christian Hedrich (NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer, University of Liverpool, Paediatric Trainee Alder Hey Children’s Hospital & Paediatric Rheumatologist Professor of Child Health at University of Liverpool)

“MINDFULNESS FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH LONG TERM HEALTH CHALLENGES? A TASTER SESSION”

Trish Bartley (Senior Teacher and Trainer at the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University)

The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.

We organise two meetings like this each year (one in May and one in October) and we move them around the country as much as possible to give everyone a chance to attend. At the moment I don't believe there is one planned for Yorkshire, but I believe there is a possibility of us being in the North West (maybe near Manchester) next year?

It's been a while since one of these events was in South Wales (May 2012 in Cardiff if I remember rightly). Hopefully that means we will be back towards that way before too long. Hopefully we can get the support group started up again there first.

Last meeting I went to in Cardiff was in June-July 2016. And, it was really nice to share so much with other people that have the same condition.
