So really excited to say that it looks like my 2nd ever holiday abroad with be Feb 2019 in the half term. To Benidorm .
I will be going with 9 others who are family and close family friends! I must say this is a year away but mentally giving me the push to lose weight.
Also am thinking about applying for a level 3 teaching assistant qualification. Iβm going to wait till I have the funds to pay for it. Then maybe apply for a HLTA one ? Not sure yet. I would like to do other qualifications but my job does not offer any π
Hopefully getting back on track of positivity and improvements in my life π ( might change after my rheumy app 23rd March ππ)

Fabulous to have a big goal to aim for !. Next year's great holiday gives you plenty of time to lose weight and be doing more qualifications!. Look forward to seeing how it all goes. X
That's a great idea Lou. Beats having the huge university fees!. I did try it myself but became too unwell to keep it up. I enjoyed what i did. I know money is tight but could you set aside a monthly amount to save in an account?. Your probably already doing this but my mum always said spend half and save half of any money I had, it's helped me no end!. Have a good day today, hope with no snow!. X
Iβm going to be starting my second job soon so hoping I can just save what I make from that and make my main wages go further. Iβm looking at doing a CASHE level 3 certificates in teaching assistant first , just to get back into the swing of learning x
Wow Lou, what's your second job?.is it at same school?. Just hope you cope with your health fitting it all in!. I do admire your drive and determination! You'll do really well. Good luck with it all, take care. X
Great to hear from you. You sound very upbeat! Good for you.
Fantastic news about your holiday. I think mentally it always helps to have something to look forward to and a holiday always works.
I did the TA qualification. CACHE mine were, from our local college. I did level 2 and then level 3. But I never worked at level 3, (only level 2) as they were making redundancies and everyone that kept their jobs was being moved down a grade to save the LA money. Only 2 members off staff were kept at level 3 and competition was fierce.
That being said, I am sure that getting the qualification never does any harm. Education is the only way to improve your chances in the long term. It shows an employer that you are ready and wiling, you're committed to the job and you are determined to improve yourself and how your do your job. Then if ever the chance comes to apply for a level 3, you've already got the qualification etc. Go for it.
Keep us posted, especially on that Rheumy appt on 23rd.
