I'm taking on 10 half marathons in 2018 for LUPUS UK

Hi everyone,

Today is the 10th anniversary of my friend Heather's "angel day". She sadly lost her battle with lupus when she was just 18.

To celebrate her life and help raise funds and awareness for LUPUS UK I will be completing 10 half marathons this year.

Thanks PMRpro . Did an eight-mile run yesterday when training and only got a minor blister. I'm sure my feet will get used to it.

Paul, I lost a friend to cystic fibrosis when we were both 16. That was pretty much life expectancy back then, but 32 years on life expectancy of CF suffers has more than doubled.

There is always hope & people just like you, raising awareness & funds for research, make this possible.

Hi sarahsch . I'm sorry to hear about your friend. It is very positive to hear that such progress is being made with CF though and I hope that the same will happen with cases like this of lupus.

Come and say hi if you see me in Milton Keynes. I live in Essex so it isn't too far to drive up in the morning.
