Hi, I am on tramadol for pain. They became ' controlled' meds about 2 years ago as they are synthetic opiate.
It does depend how your opioid receptors work, some will feel drowsy or tired even in low doses.
I cannot take 2 at the same time due to nausea, an effect of opiates, and if I have taken 2 in order to get out of the house, I can feel quite lively. I cannot take any after 4 pm as I would not get to sleep.
I am prescribed dihydrcodine for pain relief in eve.
It makes me feel a bit sleepy but I take it because it helps with pain, usually one with 2 paracetamol. The main unpleasant side effect for me is nausea otherwise I'd take more
Yup, sure have. Also: foggy thinking and just generally “out of it”. I only take it at night now for my joint pain. During the day, I respond better to Dilaudid. I’ve tried many Rx painkillers and that’s the only one that works without making me “high”. I hate having to use them at all, but I understand that when the pain is so severe sometimes it’s the only thing that allows you to be functional. There are risks and side effects and I work monthly with a pain manager to be safe.
