Hi loulamb, glad you've had OT help . I've got a walk in shower and just wonder if this would be better for you?. Happy New Year. X

A walk in shower would be so much better . This is the first step I suppose because I could sit on the board . I said it varies day to day .

The OT said they can get the council to fit a railing to help if I struggle . It will be the getting up after sitting down for so long . I’ll see how it goes 🙂

I was one of the lucky ones. The OT got me a walk in shower with seat and handrail and it does make life so much better,

When I went to my aunties she has a walk in shower because her partner has CP . It was so much easier for me . Made me feel like a normal person again

He spoke to her about and she said because I seem to be able to sit on the board when she was here . She thinks I’ll be fine . If needed they can get the council to fit a railing . I’ll see how it goes

Anything that makes washing easier is on the top of my "I want" lists. I have a decent shower over the bath but get very cold using it. Now I have a very quick "wartime rationing" bath. I don't feel as clean, and have always preferred a shower, but it'll do for now.

I can’t lower myself up and out of the bath . I just don’t have the strength for it . I use the shower but slipped nearly once so made me very anxious about it . So I normally have quick hair wash and shower so never felt 100% clean. So hopefully this board will help so I can shower long !
