I have always supported the RNLI, if your boat is sinking off Llandudno they don’t ask for your membership card they rescue everyone. If someone requires help with SLE, Lupus UK provides free support.
Currently 18000 folk use HealthUnlocked and Lupus UK has 5500 members. If you join Lupus UK you will receive our excellent “News and Views” magazine three times per annum. We will not release your details to other organisations.
Our secretary, David Hopkins, writes in the current magazine “I like to think that Lupus UK is an extended family for all of us. Our £10 keeps us as a member of this family. In families we support each other; we are supported nationally and locally when we need it and we in turn provide support when we are able. And of course there is strength in numbers; the more we are, the louder will be our voice.”
We will always be there to support those with Lupus and their friends and family.
Best wishes

Well said Kevin! I'll put a reminder on the Northern Ireland Lupus Group FB page.
I joined LUK earlier this year. So far I have Sjögren’s rather than Lupus, but this HU community, under the admins’ watchful and supportive gaze, have been invaluable to me. £10 a year seems the least I can pay as contribution for what I get from Lupus UK. The lifeboat analogy is a very good one!
Hear Hear Kevin. Being a member of Lupus UK gives us access to so much. I've been a member for over 30 years and always look forward to the magazine News and Views being delivered, it contains such useful information. To all who rely on social media sites for answers, I would say do join Lupus UK, you will always receive the correct information and will not feel so alone with Lupus, others understand.
I'm also a member of Lupus UK - it really isn't very much in terms of cost is it - barely four cups of coffee if that! It's so easy to join - maybe there could be a pinned reminder post on here somewhere. Together we are stronger!
