Try and get a referral to the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath.

Thanks for replying, I will keep it in mind, but my doc hasn't offered to refer me . I have a script to pick up later .

It's an antiiinflammatory , so I guess no more at present.

It seems that my blood results indicated lupus some time ago, I was never told. Is that experience of others ??

Get copies of your blood results. Keep them. If you have lupus and have a prescription for a Lupus med then you should be under a Rheumatologist or dermatologist or nephrologist etc. Hydroxychloroquine etc are not usually initiated by a GP. Let me have a bit more info.

The hospital at Bath is a Lupus Centre of Excellence. I would try for a referral there. Good luck!

GP has prescribed anti inflammatories. Not sure which til I pick up later.

No talk about referral. I do have my blood test results I will keep them .

I guess its another problem now to get s referral . Oh dear , x

Hi Gcart . Dr Harsha Gunawardena is a lupus specialist at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Alternatively, you may wish to ask for a referral to the LUPUS UK Centre of Excellence in Bath (The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases), as others have suggested.
