I'm not sure whether this is lupus related. When I eat out I get a red rash over my face and neck, doesn't happen when I'm at home??

Rash
Could be the lighting rather than food?
Or do you eat foods that you wouldn't normally eat at home?
When I eat out I need to be careful what I eat and where for me it's the E numbers
Colours preserve,s flavouring it can take a few days to recover.
Hi Lancslass1962,
Have you discussed this with your GP or rheumatologist?
Do you experience the rash when you are exposed to sunlight?
Many people with lupus experience a flare of their symptoms when exposed to sunlight. The most common symptom is for rashes to appear on the skin, affecting areas that are frequently exposed such as the face, neck, hands and feet. We published an article on our blog about coping with light sensitivity which you may like to read here: lupusuk.org.uk/coping-with-...
We also published a booklet on lupus and the skin which you can access here: lupusuk.org.uk/wp-content/u...
You may wish to keep a food diary in order to keep an eye on possible foods that may be triggering your symptoms.
Please let us know how you get on, wishing you all the best.
