Hi loopyloopy ,
Good luck at the nerve study clinic. I hope they are able to find the cause so that it can be treated.
Here is our blog article about pain management just in case there is anything helpful in it for you in the meantime - lupusuk.org.uk/pain-managem...
Hello loopyloopy
You've got good advice from paul. All i can add is to say i too have chronic thumb joint pain...which i manage with my daily oral combined therapy lupus meds + OTC NSAID gel (eg strongest version of Ibuleve) AND wearing 2 special Thumb braces...i posted with a photo of these wonderful relatively slimline easy to wear braces here not long ago...in the post i explain more about what causes my thumb joint pain..., so here is the link:

I get mine online from vivomed:

Wishing you all the best

I have the same issue..I have to put ice on my wrist and thumb joints when I go to bed...for some reason, that is when they hurt..
