Hi Ajeel
Sorry you felt unwell after sun exposure. How's that rash?. If it's still prominent I think it should be checked out by your GP. Keep your photos for him and your consultant too. Hope you feel better soon. X
It looks like shingles but you should see a doctor. Can happen after sun exposure. You need Aciclovir tablets. Good luck
Hi Ajeel,
Have you discussed this with you GP or rheumatologist?
Many people with lupus experience a flare of their symptoms when exposed to sunlight. The most common symptom is for rashes to appear on the skin, affecting areas that are frequently exposed. We published a blog article on ‘Coping with Light Sensitivity’ which contains helpful tips and information which you can read here: lupusuk.org.uk/coping-with-...
We also published a guide on skin involvement in lupus which you can read here: lupusuk.org.uk/wp-content/u...

I disagree about the spots appearing whete most exposed. Mine weres on my thighs which ate never exposed and the person u are writing about has the spots on her thigh and buttock. But is true that my most. Common flares are on my fsce andhands which are exposed. Worse if I forget the sunscreen. So I don't disagree after all.
Thanx all my Rheumatologist send me to do serum immunoglobulin and also C3 , C4 because i still have high antiDNA positive with negative ANA
All test revealed it negative
Except i had high antiDNA and CRP
I agree, keep a journal of some sort and pictures are a great way to show your doctor or when you go to a doctor. keep a close look at your fever, and if it last for more than 2 days and high ( like 102) please go in.
And if you can, when you go outside, wear sunscreen and reapply every 30 minutes, and make sure you have on the right clothing, like shirts with no shelves or even a hat can help a little. But the one thing that is a major treat to keep up, is when you go outside, remember, sunscreen.
But please see your regular doctor.
God Bless from Fort Collins, Colorado,
Terri
Yes sun is poison to lupus people. See your doctors ASAP. Good luck. I had this problem when i forgot to wear my sunscreen. Got the largest spot on my thigh.
