The direction to look for a cure possibly - providing someone else can replicate the work to confirm the findings.

But it all depends on your definition of soon. This is basic research. You have to find a way of changing the trigger - more basic research. Then you have to refine the technique to be reliably safe in animals. Then show it works and is safe in humans - because humans don't always work the same as mice. And then you have the clinical trials.

But promising - very promising.
