Opiods are the only medicine that really take the edge off of pain for me. My liver is touchy about too much acetameniphen and ibuprofen causes internal bleeding. I have considered growing my own palaver s. Hydroxycloroquine (Plaquenil) is helping the level of pain subside but the jury is out on any adverse effects on my eyes, as I just started taking it 3 months ago.

I hope the trial period of Plaquenil continues to relieve your pain without any eve involvement. I also can relate to your GI sensitivity to Non-Steroidal antiinflammatory medications as well as aspirin and tylenol. My sensitivity came from taking a NSAID KNOWN AS Volteren causing a severe GI bleed.

The medication I found to work well for me is methadone at only 40mg's a day. Best of luck and keep in touch!!

Just reread my reply lol. I meant to say I have considered growing my own papaver somniforim, which is poppy. It is the natural thing to do. My dr offered methadone a couple of years ago, but I declined as it sounded dicey. I might reconsider.
