Are we supposed to have any ANAs in our blood at all?!?

I'm reading that we are suppose to be at 1:0 in order to be considered negative... this is making me nervous as I have a ANA of 1:40 šŸ˜–

Very healthy people can have a positive ANA. Unless you have other symptoms then its just a matter of checking that might turn out to be nothing. Most specialists arent really interested unless your ANA is more like 1:320 AND you have symptoms.

I'm not sure where you've read that 1:0 is the only negative result though.
