Hello all haven't posted for a while because recupirating slowly from heart bye pass and flares after heart attack in Nov last year. Just thinking. right heart sorted now to this godawful lupus pain. It's nearly everywhere in my body and the headaches have been horrendous. Unfortunately last wed night another heart attack out of the blue. Pain much worse than last time, honestly thought my no was up. So now back in hospital waiting for another angiogram being dosed with morphine for the chest pain and awful headaches. My consultant is convinced it is my lupus that has aggravated the situation because a further heart attack this soon after bye pass is very rare. Going to look down the route of being transfered to MRI for lupus treatment in the future , not even seen my rheumatologist since last October, just told to start back on methotrexate and bloods done every month. Not working at all just makes me feel sick for two days and then gives me a mouthful of cold sores. Just feel like I have been abandoned by rheumatologist.

Hello again Karen....am v glad to see your post, but am v sorry you've been having a v rough time...and still are having a v tough time. This disease doesn't play fair!
Well, I like the way you're thinking: good plan! Time for rheumatology to Be Helpful! Will your heart consultant write to Rheumatology?
Am sending you a virtual box full of hugs: please take 2 morning & evening (and any time you feel the need)
Hope you'll post news flashes as often as you feel strong enough
Arrgh, that sounds terrible, KarenC. I hope that cardiologist makes sure to have some frank words with your rhuemy. Even if s/he's done as much as was right, the fact that you feel abandoned shows that something isn't right in your care.
You haven't been abandoned by this forum anyway. Lots of kind and strengthening thoughts are being sent! Mx
Hi Karen that's awful hope you a speedy recovery take care π.
Rheumatology is very slow my appt should have been July 2016 the last time I saw him was sept 2015 nothing been docs endless times asking for referral. X
Hi Karen. I'm so sorry you had to go through this. Lupus likes to have a looking when something else gets the spotlight. The Cardiologist should be liasing with your rheumy, rather than you worrying about it. They used to have multi disaplinary meetings, when more than one department was involved. x
