Any recommendations for who to see here? I have SCLE and possibly a form of vasculitis. Plus other outstanding symptoms. Thank you! 💜

Hi Wendy, hope your OK, interesting to look at the list to past comments about doctors at London bridge hospital under related posts, a mix of consultants have been commented on. If you check the hospital website (if you haven't already ) you will see that the docs are very part time there is a morning or two, so maybe booked up, good to call & ask secretary what the appt schedule is like. Impressive lists of docs. First time it was a cancellation appt. Next maybe before Xmas got in fast....🙋. Sunny weather is upon us...going to risk a walk in many layers tomorrow 😎 .....ML

Hello. Thank you for your reply. Had some great advice from people here. I am going to call and ask who best to see with my symptoms, I think. I'll private message you now. X

Hi Wendy.

They are all real experts at London Bridge and most from the old lupus unit at st thomas' hospital. I can personally recommend Dr Kaul, my current doctor and Dr d' Cruz who diagnosed me. Also prof Hughes the founder of APS is second to none. He's the busiest and the longest waiting list though.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I've been looking at their website and reading their profiles. All seem great lupus doctors. I've also received a private message from someone recommending Dr Colin Tench. I think I need to contact them and ask who suits my current diagnosis, symptoms and possible diagnosis. Thank you for your reply! I am really grateful of all this information. X

Well, I've had a very productive day. I saw my lovely GP this morning. My bloods from last week were all good apparently. Typical for me! 😬 But she didn't hesitate to agree when I asked for a private referral to London Bridge. She totally understands. Then I went to meet Maggielee to make sure I was on the right track. That cheered me up. Then this afternoon I've booked an appointment with Dr A Kaul for Friday 21st April. So I am COMPLETELY shattered now BUT I am much more positive and can see a way out of this. The GPs referral letter will ask for 1) second opinion on diagnosis 2) advice re treatment plan and 3) advice and plan with how to deal with flares in the future. Time for a rest. Thanks for all if your replies and advice, much appreciated. X

Great step forward, is an appointment, the nice part is the feeling of control and knowing that these docs know their speciality... Good to talk & share. A !little tired today, but no major backlash from lovely walks this past weekend, fingers crossed....hope you get some rest this week. 😳 no relapses. Hug ml

It is heavy reading, but explains the differences in the two forms of SCLE. I will be asking that question too. X
