Well folks, after five months of worry, it has happened. I have won my appeal and have had Support Group ESA reinstated for 24 months. Why that length, I'm unsure. Hooray! So sometimes the little guy wins. It's only £30 a week, but it was the principle, and my fight was for all SLE sufferers. The primary reason for my victory was that my GP emphasised the fatigue and the side effects of medication. " We believe you cannot repeatedly and reliably mobilise for 50 metres either with or without an aid", that's what they said. That's what I said five months ago.

congratulations
Excellent news, let's hope they leave you alone now and everyone else in the support group. It's bad enough dealing with our body attacking itself without the government joining in 🦋🐾
It is more than the principle. Support group means they will pay you! WRAG group means they only pay you for 1 year and then it depends on your assets and partners income. Have you claimed PIP as well as this may allow you to get more money to help with things like lack of mobility and will also allow anyone who is looking after you to claim Carer's allowance? Every little helps and you have done so well to go through the appeal process!
Fantastic results on your part to hold the DWP accountable.
