i am having a problem when i am sitting in a certain position that it feels like something is tearing thru my shoulder blades to my elbow.......but when i am walking or anything it doesnt hurt

Arthritis? topical cream from supermarket or chemist can help if so - as also could be strain maybe hard time opening jar etc didn't realize strained it.

Or wind I've had that too. Usually lower down under shoulder blades and in bed lie on it and sore. If so stretching can help wind and get it out. Arm exercises and deep breaths hold for count of 5 then out will also bring up any wind.

If none seem to fit go see the GP next.

Hope something gels in there and helps or someone else knows.

Have you seen you go re; trapped nerves? Many times pain in arms when sitting not standing can be due to a nerve trapping due to posture etc The pain can radiate. It may stop when you back is straight.

it could be due to weak cervical and shoulder muscles , try somes exercices and sitting posture is very important , 90 degrees erect posture with arms comfortable supported on arm chairs to relax shoulder muscles and decrease stress on cervical,

avoid forward head posture please that we are talking involuntary while sitting watching TV or computer

I've been getting massages and learned how many are affected by so many things.

I was told to make sure I stretch before I get out of bed and then after. And to do every muscle group!
