is better for MCTD or lupus and Sjogren??

any experience? i have to choose between them !

Hi Samaka

Everyone responds differently to different medications so unfortunately it will probably be a trial and error process. I tried azathioprine but it affected my liver so I was switched to mycophenolate mofetil and that has worked for me. For others it is the opposite. Sorry that isn't very helpful! Good luck.

Mycophenolate mofetil and mycophenolate sodium and taken at different dosages so I cannot comment on that. The dosage is also trial and error. If you take azatioprine or mycophenolate, your doctor will start you off on a low dose and then increase the dosage as necessary according to your own symptoms and reaction to the meds. Both azathioprine and mycophenolate will take a few months to build up in your system and start working.

I take Myfortic, 360mg x 2

I was given the strong impression from my Specialist that it was a superior class of drug for me. I have SLE - renal problems.

In reality I think its just whatever drug you can tolerate best.
