CeLLs: Hello everyone, has anyone had low T cells... - LUPUS UK
CeLLs
Hello vonda. I'm in the uk. I think you're in the USA? Treatment may be different for us. I'm not having blood transfusions, but maybe a bit of my story can be useful to you
My rheumatology lupus clinic referred me to immunology 18 months ago because of T cell & immunoglobulin deficiencies. So far these investigations have established that I apparently have an early onset Primary Immunodeficiency running alongside infant onset lupus. I'm 62, and this PID diagnosis explains my lifetime of recurring complex persistence pattern infections due to both T cell & Ig deficiencies. So far immunology hasn't suggested blood transfusion in my case...instead I'm on daily antibiotics indefinitely, and will go onto IVIG monthly if breakthrough infections develop.
I wonder if you might find others who are having blood transfusions for low T cells problems if you went to a forum for Primary Immunodeficiency patients
But I'm very glad you're here, and am wishing you 🍀🍀🍀 coco
