Am very glad to say that when the sun was out only for 2 days i was able to wear my shorts. It didn't effect me. I am even able to wear shorts to bed instead of trackies or pyjama bottoms.

Sun and shorts
Hi Loulamb;
I wear pretty much nothing but Shorts & T-shirts, and sunscreen during the summer. I live in the southeastern U.S. In the state of Alabama, out summers here are hot and humid. Yes I pay for it with More rashes and blisters. However I will not let lupus stop me from living a full life. I can't wear shoes, and have not been able to wear shoes (other than leather or cloth flip flop sandals for a very short period of time) for 2 years, because of a rash/blister on my right foot. I have learned to adapt and overcome. I don't even let having to go barefoot stop me from doing anything I want and or feel like doing.
So good for you!

Hi LouLamb,
I'm glad to hear that you were able to go out in your shorts and not experience a reaction. It is important to wear high factor sun cream if you are exposing your skin to the sun. New immune responses can take over a week to develop so the effects of sunlight will not necessarily be on the same day.
