Hello all...following on from the flying stoat...here is the reclining buck
This yearling roe deer & his lovely twin sister have been chucked out of the herd in Badger's Wood because Big Boy, the Top Buck, wants his does all to himself...meanwhile the yearlings have decided to hang out in our garden where we see them from our windows. One evening last week, this youngster plonked himself down on the lawn...my perfect photo opportunity!
this morning I got a phone call from the secretary to the chief of gyn oncology asking me if I could come in to see him tomorrow...of course I said yes....thinking: ok, so the NHS urgent appointment pathway can actually work.
so, am looking at this photo, channelling the Zen calm alertness of this yearling buck: What, me worry?
OK...I can't help feeling on edge...but I'll be just fine because you're all coming into that appt with me...and I'll be remembering everything I've learned here from all of you, my good buddies

Extra special good luck wishes are sent for tomorrow. Knowing you , you are well prepared and it's good you've got less thinking /worrying time as it's so quick!. They found a slot, good to phone as that has happened to me.
Beautiful photo, so special to have deer in your front garden.
thanks so much misty 😘 : you're making this so much easier for me. am being open minded, and am feeling ready for whatever this appt brings. my big hope is that this clinic will take over my DES Daughter annual monitoring colposcopies. These are top specialists at a leading international teaching hospital where i attend my Rheumatology, Immunology and ENT clinics. I've been referred to gyn oncology here by our smaller local NHS hospital because of my co-morbidities & complexity. It would be lovely to have all these clinics under 1 roof....even though i have to travel much further to attend them XOXO
That would be wonderful if they will take over the DES monitoring and makes much more sense to have all your important specialities in one renowned hospital. Easier for you to deal with admin wise and they can talk to one another, no excuses!.
All the best for a good result and let us know how you get on. X
Good luck. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly and whatever the reason it's simple and straight forward. You've been incredibly supportive and responsive on here to many. Please feel that support is returned.
Hi coco, have been waiting to see when your appointment was going to be and thank goodness it's tomorrow. As Misty has said you will be well prepared as you are a guru after all. All best wishes for good news, we will await your reply.
We are here for you coco.
Love and gentle hugs go to you.
noonoox 🍀🍀🍀🌹
Ps. Photo is wonderful it's so beautiful to have that on your doorstep, I think they are there for you, they know you are there for them, again as the Stoat they feel safe in your presence.
thanks so much noonoo 😘 ...the week before last, i had my first NHS urgent pathway appt at the gyn clinic in our small local hospital... the gyn was wonderful...listened attentively and immediately decided i needed tertiary referral to a big gyn cancer centre....so this is my second NHS urgent pathway appt...i'm certainly finding out how the NHS handles these urgent appts in our region.
i do feel very lucky to be getting seen this promptly , but it does seem less prompt when you think the problem started in october and it has taken the NHS nearly 7 months to get me to gyn oncology via a process of elimination that started with urology and proceeded via the a Pelvic Multidisciplinary Team gastroenterology and Womens Health Services Physiotherapy to our local gyn-urology clinic. i know that, like most of us, i'm considered a 'Complex Patient', but now i think my medics and i all rather had our heads in the sand...because really my DES Daughter status should've made us start these investigations at gynaecology. easy to recognise with hindsight...
XOXO
Coco, all good thoughts and wishes for you tomorrow. You hand out strength to all of us when we're in need and now it's our turn to send strength to you.
The photo of the young deer is delightful as was the stoat. Thank you once again.
Thanks so much Patricia 😘 you're so right: they're out there doing their best to survive in this strange world, this strange era of ours...much as we all are....XOXO
I've only just read this but I'm on my way through cyber space to be in your pocket (would that I'd fit!) for tomorrow. Hugs and more hugs for you Coco xxx
You are amazing to have completed the walk. Well actually let's rephrase. You are amazing to have even considered the walk.
As for your reclining deer he is beautiful. I think I'll share him with you if that's allowed. Going to the hospital myself Friday so I'll keep a picture of him in my mind
Yep: just finished breakfast...this morning the flying stoat is putting on a big show for us...lots of entertainment out the kitchen windows...not sure why he was surfing the lawn: maybe after worms in the dew?
I leave for clinic in 1 hour...the appt is just past midday...feeling really good thanks to you all & badger who is heading out to work in the wood
👍👍👍👍👍 JUST had the big appt. I think he's a good guy... & seems a good communicator....+ a True Detective...he ordered an MRI, took swabs etc, will do colposcopy next & IS taking over my annual DES monitoring. He looked very thoughtful, but not unduly alarmed (yet)
So glad he's a nice consultant, it sure does help. I hope the MRI is not too long in the future dear coco, I hope you are feeling ok and try and relax this evening, you are finally getting somewhere with this. Keep us posted and when you get the appointment next so we can all be with you.
Hi coco. Recovering from an op so I haven't been online really for the past few weeks. Have just seen this. I really hope that things went ok for you at your appointment and I hope you will post and let us know how you are doing. Meantime, sending you very best wishes and a hug.
Lovely photo! I looked back over your recent posts and found the stoat, too. How lucky to live somewhere which attracts such interest from wildlife!
Oh, mrsmouse: am hoping your recovery is going smoothly (& quickly) 🌷🌷🌷🌷🍀🍀🍀🍀
Many thanks for your reply...sending you a hug in return, from all of us here at Badger's Wood: the flying stoat, the reclining Buck...and all the rest 😘
Had my 4th NHS Pelvic Multidisciplinary Team Women's Health Services Physio appt yesterday...she was as attentive & generally perfect as ever + filled me in on more details re the clinical characteristics of the symptomatology that has slotted me into this NHS urgent pathway. She is writing a report & copying it yo all involved inc me
Then this morning the MRI dept phoned to ask if I could come in tomorrow for the pelvic MRI: of course I said yes 👍👍👍👍...that was FAST...the consultant only ordered this MRI the day before yesterday...
So pleased your Physio appt went well and was helpful. Wow!. MRI tomorrow, great use of resources by NHS!. GOOD LUCK for it and thank goodness things are happening quickly for you now. Sending healing hugs
