I was wondering of those of you who use the injections , how many pens do u get given for a prescription.
Also how much does it cost as I know with lupus you have to pay for the prescription if your over 18 and work .

I think people get injections because they have trouble tolerating nausea with the tablets. I was on methotrexate for a few weeks and the pharmacist told me to take it with food. This did the trick and the nausea was immediately better and subsided after a few days. Maybe it will help you.
I live in Wigan and they are free I got 12 on my last one
The hospital provides the prescription and I get a call from the delivery company every 8wks to arrange a suitable time for delivery....I get 8 pens at a time..they also provide & collect the disposal bins and they are free.
Hi I usually get 6 pens at a time usually from the hospital pharmacy. I have to pay for my prescriptions so I bought a prepaid card. It's about £10 per month but covers every prescription, usually 5 each month so well worth it.
The sharps bin is provided for free and collected from my home for tree.
I could only get 4 at a time cost of one prescription each time so roughly 8 pounds a month , I had to pay as am on ESA support group....looks like it varies hugely throughout the country
