Shrinking Lungs Disease

I've just been diagnosed with shrinking lungs disease, does anyone out have it? Or can you tell me about it. I'm on Plaqunil they want to change my meds, to something more dangerous that can cause cancer and effect your organs. And also increase my steroids. It's one blow after another. Please help if you can. Thank you.

Hi lupylulu, I don't have this condition but I really would advise you to listen to your consultant and take their advice, they do not prescribe these drugs unless it is necessary. All these medications have side effects but the thing to remember is the serious side effects are extremely rare and it is important to measure up benefit and quality of life against what are only POTENTIAL side effects. Also you will be monitored very carefully while you are on them, hope this helps in some way.

Their experimenting because this is so rare. I'm leaving for the Mayo Clinic in October. Hopefully i'll be reassure after leaving there. But thank you.
