I am so fed up of being in constant pain in my upper right abdomen. Tests have been done in hospital X-ray blood tests and ultra sound. I have no gallbladder, but no one can find why I am having this pain

I've had upper right quadrant pain for over three years now with many tests inconclusive and only recently had a urine sample taken which showed blood, white blood cells and protein....maybe something to tick off your list to exclude anything kidney related. I have heard of people still having pain after gallbladder removal also and costochondritis is an inflammation of the muscles around the ribs which also causes right sided pain.

Hoping you get to the bottom of it all x

Even if you have no gall bladder you can still have pain from the etheric. Many have suffered pain in parts that have been removed even amputations. I know it's not much help, but there is so much we don't understand about our bodies and I am learning all the time, just as others are, too, no doubt.

It was great for 6 months after I had my gallbladder removed, then the pain came back worse. I had a lot of stones in gallbladder and my local hospital barnsley said my gallbladder was fine, I went to the next hospital Pinderfields they saw the gallstones straight away and removed my gallbladder that night. But thank you for replyimg ". I was told that I could have stones growing still although I did not have the gallbladder, but all the tests are coming back normal

I was going to say have they checked the bile duct and pancreas?

What is your diet like?

Mercola.com is a good website to go on to find out a lot of information and I find it very useful - perhaps it could help you, too.

Any vomiting? Fevet? Jaundice? Pancreas, liver, bile duct. Have you had a nuclear gall bladder study?

It's done under the supervision of a radiologist. Dye is injected, and whether or not the gall bladder is full of calculi, fine "gravel" as opposed to visible stones, can be determined. My gall bladder disease wasn't diagnosed until after that procedure, which provided justification for surgery.

Another question relevant to gall bladder disease: have you lost a lot of weight recently? I'd been bulked up on drug weight during a divorce, after which I quit the meds and shed the pounds. Apparently it's common after weight loss to present with hall bladder disease, but not a causal relationship.

Sounds as though your clinician ought to do some further investigation.
