I read that Plaquenil can exasperate psoriasis. I have psoriasis like patches on my scalp and on my finger and toenails. Should I be worried about my symptoms getting worse?

Plaquenil question
I have eczema, different I know but I tried hydroxychloroquine last year and had unbearable itching across my stomach and I started feeling anxious. My consultant suggested I try 1x200mg a week, yes, that's one a week! Not too bad so I thought I would up it to twice a week. Then the eczema flared up so bad on my hands I found myself scratching and making it worse-something I hadn't experienced since I was a child! I felt a sort of burning sensation which also started to happen on my face, no itching or rash there, just the sensation and again feeling anxious. I decided to stop the hydroxychloroquine altogether and within a a week the eczema has very much calmed down and I feel so much better.
It does say in the leaflet to tell your doctor if you suffer from psoriasis so I would discuss it with him/her first.
Good luck!
Have u Dr not tried u on another anti malaria just a thoughx
I have developed patches of eczema on my lower back and on my scalp since I have been taking Plaquenil. They came on about 4 months after I started taking it. Noone seems to be very interested in this fact and I have just been prescribed a steroid cream for my back and a lotion for my scalp which work whilst I'm using them but then the patches come back immediately. Are you already taking Plaquenil or just thinking about starting? It definitely mentions in the leaflet that it can make psoriasis worse so I would discuss this with a doctor if you are concerned.
Iv been on hydro chloroquine 200mg a day since November and I'm also 8 months pregnant so far no bad reaction although im still in pain..
