Hi for last couples of weeks I have been getting a like buzzing sound in my right ear , any elase ,,

Medication can cause it - Plaquenil, for example. There's nothing one can do about it, other than learn to ignore it (not always easy). Mention it to your GP - he can have a look to check there isn't something obvious that causes it (e.g. Infection in your ear).

I had a buzzing sound before my hearing completely disappeared whilst taking hydrochloroquine. I cant tie it completely to that drug but a buzzing sound can indicate hearing nerve damage and CAN cause you to lose hearing completely.

It should be taken seriously. Who looks after your lupus?

My right ear swells and hurts. Last time this happened, I took a. Bromelain supplement. I read that is a good anti inflammatory supplement. Pain went away...not sure it was because of that.

Hi Missmopp

Your buzzing could be earwax as I've got same problem in one ear and trying to clear it with olive oil. It can cause titinus which might be another possibility?. Hope it gets better soon.X

I have been getting ringing in my ears for a long time it must be at least a couple of years I told my doctor about it and he said it is part of growing old not that I am old it got really bad and found it hard to sleep but it is a lot better now I don't know why it got better but it wasn't with the help from my doctor.

Yes I get a tingling in my right ear a few times every day I'm on clexane, PE's 10 months ago now.
